My Sister's Keeper
by Jodi Picoult
My roommate Katelyn frequently recommended this book to me throughout the last year and a half but it was not until I realized a movie was due to come out in the later part of July that I purchased the book and delved into the wonderful piece that it is. I was so spellbound by the book that I was able to finish it in only a few days; if only work had not gotten in the way :D. I laughed, cried, and even felt numb at parts but in the end I felt the book was well worth the purchase price and the lack of sleep. Even though the ending was changed in the movie I think the director did an wonderful job depicting the emotions of the characters onto the big screen.

This movie was the first one I have ever gone to on my own, I felt so very independent and secure in myself. The theater only had about 15 people in it which made the viewing experience really good, we all cried, giggled, and even startled at the same spots.
The only down side was the older gentleman (only male in the room) sitting about 6 seats away from me, he was snoring during the WHOLE movie, even when he was awake he still sounded like he was drowning in fluid with each inhalation. A few times I was feeling really moved by the movie but I ended up being distracted by this man and being concerned that he might be needing medical attention at any moment.
Please enjoy the movie trailer I found on Youtube.com
