Linfield Graduation

I graduated from Linfield College on May 31st 2009 with a BS in Exercise Science
and now I am headed up to Portland to work on a 2nd bachelors degree; a Bachelors of Science in Nursing BSN. I feel so very blessed to be able to continue on with my education, God is sure amazing in how He has orchestrated everything.

May 30th was the Baccalaureate Ceremony which had an wonderful passage to contemplate upon though I have heard it many times before, Luke ch 6 sure was applicable with the issues of the week. I was very thankful to be able to reflect back to scripture and change my thoughts.

27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the oneyour30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. 32But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold tunic either.

The next morning mom, Jared, and I got all ready for the big event. I walked over to the gym and was able to see some ZTA girls.

My lovely Anne
Devita
My boss for the last 4 years; Spence.

Then we lined up and walked over to the graduation green.
It sure was a thrill to be in the processional with so many people.

It was great to see my professors all lined up in the gantlet.

I was shocked to see how many people were in attendance.

Mom, Jared, Joel, and Tracy all came to be my cheering crew.
Shaking the presidents hand...Yes Hellie is still our Homeboy :D

After the program it was time to get pictures...
I went a little silly as I flitted here and there, but I loved every moment of it.
My Angela who spend 5 months in New Zeland and Austraila traveling all over by herself, she is so brave. I think I really want to go on a road trip and copy her...though mine will be smaller.

Even though there were some emotional issues during the weekend I am very glad and thankful I decided to participate in the commencement activities. When the whole year rounded out and I am able to now look back it was a good year. I have many great memories I can remember. Now I get to look forward to all the numerous crazy adventures that are to come.

Brand New...

Well Hello Blog World!

After spending an Amazing weekend with Amelia and her folks and hearing all about blogs I decided it was time to create one of my own. I am not exactly sure what I will be putting up on here, but I do love photography, cooking, random quotations, and music lyrics so I am guessing many of my posts will have a combination of these included in addition to my journal of personal thoughts. I hope you enjoy reading/viewing my postings. Hopefully soon I will be able to personalize the layout of the blog more, but at least for now this will be a start.
