Satisfied

A good friend gave this to me a few years ago and as I was going through papers I found it again. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone-
To have a deep soul relationship with another-
Be loved thoroughly, and exclusively.
But God, to a Christian, says:
I want you to be satisfied, fulfilled, and content
With being loved by Me alone-
With giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me-
With having an intensely personal and unique relationship
With Me alone.
Discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found,
Will you be capable of the best human relationship
That I have planned for you.

I want you to be united with another after you are united with Me-
Exclusive of anyone or anything else,
Exclusive of any other desires or longings.
I want you to stop planning, stop wishing,
And allow Me to give you the most thrilling plan existing-
One that you cannot imagine.
I want you to have the best-
Please allow Me to bring it to you.
You just keep watching Me, trusting Me-
Keep experiencing the satisfaction that I am.
Keep listening and learning the things I tell you.
You just wait.
That's all.

Don't be anxious.
Don't worry.
Don't look around at the things
Others have gotten or that I've given them.
Don't look at the things you think you want.
You just keep looking off and up to Me,
Or you'll miss what I want to show you.

And then, when you're ready, I'll surprise you with a love
Far more wonderful than any you would dream of.
You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready,
(I am working even at this moment to have both of you ready at the same time),
Until you are both satisfied exclusively with Me and the life I prepared for you,
You won't be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with me.
And this is the perfect love.

And dear one, I want you to have the most wonderful love.
I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with Me,
And to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty, perfection, and love
That I offer you with Myself.
Know that I love you utterly.
I am God.
Believe and be satisfied

I am back!

I have not been on in ages...why....well I moved to Portland to start nursing school and found out that the building is wireless...great for those with laptops but not if you have a desktop. I try to use the computer lab but it closes at 5 p.m. which makes it so I only use if for homework and not for fun things like blogging. But my grandpa was AMAZING and offered to get me a macbook! It arrived today and I am loving it so far. Now that I have internet when ever I want I will be able to do homework and do the fun little extras.

Hopefully soon I will be able to catch you up on all the fun things that have happened in the last 3 weeks, but for now know that I am loving school so far!!

Dreams...

So for the last month and a half or so I have been having Crazy dreams, so crazy that I am to the point of wanting to snip something to make the dreaming stop. Ok not really, but it would be nice to not wake up exhausted from all the activities in my dreams. Since about my teen years I have these crazy dreams every once in a while, but as of late it has been almost EVERY night. I am excited for the next two days off for camping up at Odell Lake, hopefully I will get some good restful sleep there.

Last night in my dream I turned into Mary Camden from the WB show 7th Heaven. FYI I loved all those years of watching the show, too bad it is over.

Well anyhoo I was Mary but some how I got pregnant but not with a human baby as which normal people get pregnant with...no, I had kittens. At first it was only going to be one...

But some how in uetro they divided the brain matter of the one into four kittens.

One was a perfect little guy, the second was close, but had some issues, the third had some major issues, but the fourth was a basket case

The littlest one kept falling asleep in his food (yea, I even found a cute picture to match), he would even forget to unhook his claws when being picked up so the blankets would pull up. He was kinda a worthless kitten as bad as that is to say...but remember it was a dream.

I always have questions in my dreams....this dream included the following

1. how did I get pregnant with kittens?
2. how long is the gestation period for cats when they are inside a human
3. why did I get dumb kittens
4. what is my family going to say when I tell them I have kittens for kids
5. how am I going to get the kittens away from the forest fire down the street (oh ya, there was a fire in the dream as well)

It was sure a crazy dream, but finding pictures to match was a lot of fun. Maybe I will tell more of my dreams on here and match them up with pictures.....

Look what the cat brought home...

Mom sent this video clip to me this morning and I just started cracking up! Hope you enjoy.

Mighty to Save - Hillsong

As promised these are the lyrics to one of the AMAZING songs played at church on Sunday. Ever since I first heard this song I fell in love.

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Forever, Author of salvation,

He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

My Saviour, you can move the mountains,
You are mighty to save,
You are mighty to save.
Forever, Author of Salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
Yes you conquered the grave

First "Summer Sunday" of the Season

To start it all off I was doing some of my amazing Facebook stalking and I found out that my small group leader Cassie and her husband Josh were back in good ol' Oregon after being in Colorado for the past year or so with grad school stuff. Cassie was an amazing influence for me during my first three years at college; her Godly wisdom and compassion for others were topped off by her just being a great friend. Neither of us are very good at keeping in contact with each other (but I am that way with most people) but she is one of those friends whom with you are able to start right off back where things left off and just talk and talk away. I am blessed to have a friend like her.

Well anyhoo, they were going to be in Mac on Sunday for church (New Hope Christian Fellowship). After a little more stalking I also found out Anne and Devita were also going to be there (both are mentioned in my Grad Blog post). I was just stoked to have close friends back in town. The summer has been good, but with out close friends around it has gotten a little lonely at times. I quickly looked at my schedule to see if it would be possible to go to church to see them and VERY QUICKLY my heart fell, I was scheduled to work at 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 that afternoon; it looked like I would miss them entirely.

On Saturday I finally got up enough courage to ask my boss if I could take a really long lunch break at an odd time and be able to go to church. Well.....drum role please.....Spence is wonderful, he understood my situation and said it would be fine for me to take the WHOLE day OFF!!! WOOT WOOT WOOT!!!! I almost started to cry with excitement.

Sunday finally arrived and I was able to sleep in tell 9 a.m., it was wonderful!! Then I found my graduation dress which I love and got all ready for church. There was a small panic when I could not find my wallet (it is bright pink duct tape so pretty easy to spot). But I did not want to be late so I left for church with out it.

I arrived at church and one of the first people I spot was Josh, he was busy talking to people so I went in search for Cassie....I creped up on her and gave her a huge hug. In the middle of the embrace I started to tear up, it felt sooooo very good to have one of her Cassie Hugs. Then I saw Anne and Devita and gave them both hugs as well. Once it was about time for church to start Josh came in and also gave me a big hug. He has also been a role model for me as the role of a Godly husband and why it is so important to keep high expectations when looking for a partner.

The worship finally started and wow...what an amazingly sweet time of worship and fellowship. Praising God with the music, but also being surrounded by those you love and cherish. During on song "Mighty to Save" (see other post for lyrics and why I love the song so much), my Pastor came up next to me in the row of chairs. (I will have to do a post just on him some time...I love him) I opened my eyes and was rather startled by his presents but he leaned in and said "isn't it great to be in church today?" I agreed and responded with a great big bear hug and one of my big smiles. Then we both went back to singing and as I was praising God for all His blessings tears of joy started streaming down my cheek. Sure is an odd sensation to be grinning from ear to ear and happy beyond explanation and be crying.

The sermon was wonderful and then I headed back to my apt after talking with Anne for a while. I went shopping for yummy burger stuff and then after lunch I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon nap. Oh yes...I found my wallet!

I woke up and got ready for the softball game. I have not been able to go to any as of yet, but New Hope has two softball teams and both had games at 6 p.m. in neighboring fields so I was able to watch parts of both. One team won for the first time this season, while the other came in close but did not close the deal.

I liberated these photos from the church web site of Dewey both in the dug-out and pitching.

After the games I made dinner and sat down to watch the last few episodes of the Next Food Network Star marathon. The Finale was on and I had been counting down the days to the Finale for a long time. I became rather addicted to the show this summer. The Finale finally came and it was amazing. Just want I wanted. Melissa WON!!!

Cassie and Josh invited me to Rooftop for drinks so when the finale had able 20 min left I headed out to meet them. My roommate had gone running and once she arrived back I headed out (she had not taken a key with her so I could not lock her out). I was there for about 2.5 hours, Cassie and I had an amazing talk, and enjoyed a lovely sex on the beach drink. It was so good to be able to catch up with her and their live. God has been truly blessing their marriage and their life with so much. It was great to hear.

When I got back to the apt. I called Jared and we chatted for a bit and then I drifted off to dream land after what was the best Summer Sunday I have had in a long time.

Back to the Future and Care Bears

Yesterday after work I went to pick up an old friend I had not spent much time with in several years. We went to Rooftop for dinner and a drink. The view was wonderful. I have truly loved being able to go to this hang out spot in Mac over the past four years, it is great.

Then we went back and decided that since I had only seen the first Back to the Future movie (only a few months ago)

That we should watch the 2nd. It was great! So very funny.

After I took my friend back I decided that I really wanted to be crazy and stay up...yes it was 10:30 and WAY past my bed time...I watched the third movie and it by far was my favorite.

Then at about 12:30 a.m. I finally crawled into bed, I was very thankful I did not have to work tell 10 this morning so I would be able to sleep in. Jared and I talked for a little while (he was able to fix the battery on the car which was really good. Maybe later I will tell you the funny story about that)

This morning I was able to sleep in, it was AMAZING! I was even blessed with not having any of my crazy dreams last night. It has been getting really old having extremely intense dreams for the last few weeks; I wake up all worn out and tired from the activity in the dream. Last night was night and restful.

After getting ready for work I had a little spare time before it was time to ride my bike to work so I turned on the TV and to my surprise the Care Bears were on!! I used to think they were so cute and sweet. On this episode Funshine Bear learned he could still have fun even without his patch.

Last weekend in July

This week I had Wednesday and Thursday off, I was so excited after working for eight days straight including IPNC, to finally have a few days to myself. I decided I wanted to spend some time with my Jared so after my exam on Tuesday night I hit the road and headed South to Eugene. I left a little after 7:15 p.m. and I had the most amazing drive. Once the sun started to lower down the colors of the sky were breathtaking. The dry hot air (106 degrees that day but only 95 at 9p.m. in JC) combined with the farmland made for amazing pictures. I wish I had been able to find my camera battery charger so unfortunately I was not able to take any pictures of the amazing splendor God created. So...I did a Google images search of sunset (and sunrise for my drive back to work this morning) and included them in to help give a scene of the beauty (most are not even of Oregon let along along my drive on Hwy 99W) The sky was full of pink, purple, orange, yellow, and all shades of blue.

During my drive back this morning (I left at 5:45 a.m. VERY EARLY) I was able to see the sky pinken up with the starting of the sunrise. Once the sun peaked over the Coberg Hills it was a vibrant shade of pink. These pictures can't even really express how pretty it was.

In addition to having a wonderful driving trips back and forth I was also able to hear some great songs on the radio, at some point I might start posting play lists of the top songs I hear. But for now lets just leave it that there were some great ones.

Jared and I went out to a brew pub (Hop Valley)we had not eaten at
before and I had an amazing cheese stake sandwich and a pretty darn good sex on the beach for my cocktail.

On Wednesday I wanted to go get some Cafe' Yumm for lunch but as usual I took the wrong turn at the Delta and Beltline and ended up at the mall. But I remembered I had a gift card for Barns and Noble so I spend about 2 hours perusing the books. I did good, I made it out with only 5 books :) Afterwards I finally did make it to lunch. YUMMY!

I have started reading Julie & Julia and I am really enjoying it so far. I will keep you posted.

Wednesday evening Jared and I went out for Race Night at the shop. Good times with yummy pizza and wonderful girl chat time with Tracy. I loved being able to catch up with her, we used to be much closer but with life getting busier for both of us we have slightly drifted, but when we are able to reconnect it is wonderful.

Thursday I met up with Carrie for lunch and a movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past which was pretty cute

All in all the weekend was great. It was so nice to be able rest up and read good books while in the comfort of AC when it was 106 outside. Jared and I were able to have some good snuggles and talks and enjoy several good meals. However, now it is time to go back to a week of work.

Julie & Julia Update

I am so freaking excited that today is going to be a slowish day at work. I have posted before about the Julie & Julia movie coming out on August 7th, well this weekend I found the book and I am about half way into it and loving it. Then this morning I found the original blog by Julie Powell. I am just stoked I can hardly contain myself. If you want to nerdy like me go to the following link and then on the calendar go to August 25th 2002 to start from the beginning. Julie /Julia Project

Please pray for my headache

Today is my 8th day in a row at work, it is supposed to get to 103 degrees this afternoon, we need to strip linens off 294ish beds, bundle and count linens in time for laundry pick up tomorrow at 1 p.m., I need to study for an exam this evening for my soc class, and I need to pack for my two days off.
OH....and I have a migraine

Please pray that my head starts to feel better soon, I am really getting tired of how much more frequently I am getting these. Being dizzy, barffy, seeing spots, earing things, smelling everything, and having the room spin is not good when you have as much to get done today as I do. I have taken my meds but they are not really working yet. Hopefully they will kick in soon.

What a wonderful evening

After a long day at work I was ready to hit the hay, but to my lucky surprise Jared called saying he was close and wanted to take me out to dinner. He had been up East of Portland to pick something up and then spend the afternoon with Walt and Sara at the Steam Up in Brooks. For some reason I thought the event was in Albany and there would be no chance I would get to see him this weekend, so you can imagine my surprise and happiness when he said he was about 45 min away.

We went to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner

I had an AMAZING burger: an Avocado Turkey Burger with slices of fresh avocado, Havarti cheese, and applewood smoked bacon. Yumm Yumm

Not my burger, but same kind, I wanted to show how yummy it looked :D

After dinner we went for a walk at the park near the library in Mac. It was so nice to walk arm in arm in the evening breeze. We found a plastic play ground which had an amazing slide that twisted and turned all the way down. Jared tried it first but part way down he managed to get spun around, it was so great I had to get a picture on my phone.

We then walked back towards the van and read a few historical markers and right behind the Library we found a wonderful old wooden playground. Jared decided that bark dust was hot lava and was determined not to touch the ground the whole time we were there. We had a little plane/boat (not really sure what it was) and slides, walkways made tires, chains, floating wood, tire swings, monkey bars, ect. At one point I went over to the bigger tire swing and could walk there because I had "lava proof flip flops" but Jared had some trouble. He climbed up slides, jumped over castle walls, leaped to the fence and then crawled along it until he reach an area parallel to the support poles for the tire swing. The then leaped and twirled around the pole, rebounded and leaped to the swing. It was sure a blast to "play" together, he has such a playful and fun spirited soul that does not always surface but I am so glad that he has that trait. We just had a blast together.

Julie & Julia

I saw the preview of the movie Julie & Julia this afternoon and I am in love. I am so excited for the movie to come out on August 7th.

Julia Child (Meryl Streep) and Julie Powell (Amy Adams) are featured in writer-director Nora Ephron's adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell's Julie & Julia and My Life in France, by Julia Child with Alex Prud'homme. Based on two true stories, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends...until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. Mom is Blogging :D

Well, not yet, but soon. I made my mom two blogs, she will have one for her personal stuff and then one for her cooking products (Demarle at Home). I am excited what she will do with them and how hopefully it will help kick off her side business as being a Sales Representative for Demarle. They really do have some great things, I love cooking with it.

Go check the blogs out!

Dance your heart away

I have always loved music and the ability to move rhythmically along to it. God is so wonderful with how He blesses people with the ability to create music, I truly enjoy being able to get lost in the beat and dance my heart away.

When I was young I did ballet

Then moved to gymnastics

Then more ballet, jazz, and finally dance team in Junior High

In college I enjoyed dress up dance parties...

Toga

Halloween (I was an 80's jazzersiz girl)

A Jungle/Camo themed party

Gender Bender

Graffitti...(before the addition of a lot of highlighter marks)

Ocean Themed...I got Jared to dress up as my Prince Eric while I was Ariel

I even like to dance in my pj's

Dancing at weddings is always good as well

But I must admit, I am still a spaz, and when startled I fall down...

And now I love going to dance clubs to get jiggy with it, the Spur is a fav of my old roommates. We can sure cut a rug out on the line dance floor, and two step it with the cowboys
